This charming and cosy 19th century cottage, full of character and lovingly maintained, sits centrally within the coastal village of Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk. Boasting a prime location within the old part of the village, overlooking pretty village gardens and thatched cottages


The cottage sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, with an upstairs bathroom, separate living and dining rooms and a well equipped kitchen. 


The dual aspect living room has a comfortable lounging sofa and arm chair, BT TV for streaming access, unlimited internet and DVD, wood burning stove with french doors opening onto the sunny and private enclosed courtyard. The stylish separate dining room with its original stone floor leads onto the cheerful kitchen with an electric oven, microwave and fridge with a small freezer compartment. The stable style kitchen door leads out onto the courtyard garden where the old outhouse now houses the washing machine and dryer.


The straight narrow staircase leads up to two tastefully decorated bedrooms with views across a village green.  The master bedroom enjoys a comfortable king size bed  while the second bedroom has a standard double bed and a shower. Step down from the landing into the charming upstairs bathroom where you can relax in the beautiful slipper bath.


There is parking for one car in a walled gravel driveway at the side of the cottage, and further parking may be found nearby in the village. Leave your car on the driveway and open the gate into the enclosed sunny cobbled courtyard where you can relax on the bench or enjoy a drink at the bistro table.


1 large dog or 2 medium/small dogs are welcome free of charge at April Cottage.


Located in the very heart of the village, April Cottage is just a 2 minute walk to the extensive dunes and all year round dog friendly beach.

The local 'Fisherman’s Return' pub (dog friendly) serving good food, can be found directly across the green from the cottage. Also just a couple of minutes walk will take you to; the village shop, Poppy’s post office and dog friendly tea rooms, and the fish & chip shop.  Beach side refreshments can be found at “Seal View”.


Winterton offers all year round interest for those wishing to escape to recharge their batteries, in a village enjoying a friendly and relaxing pace. Vast unspoilt beaches and extensive dunes attract hikers, dog walkers, nature enthusiasts and beach goers. In the summer, bird watchers can enjoy the largest uk colony of the rare seabird, the Little Tern nesting on a section the beach, and between November and January, the grey seal colony extends down from Horsey Gap towards Winterton for the spectacular pupping season.
